Director General Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) Major General Babar Iftikhar stated they are engaged in the rescue and remedy efforts over the last two months.

Briefing the media persons at National Flood Response and Coordination Center in Islamabad, DG ISPR stated that they have rescued the human beings and additionally furnished them with relief items.

He stated Pakistan Army has installed alleviation camps whereby relief has been furnished to 50,000 flood victims. He stated eighty-three thousand victims have been furnished with free medical therapy in the two hundred and fifty medical camps.

Floods have so far killed 1265 people: Chairman NDMA

Chairman NDMA Lieutenant General Akhtar Nawaz stated the floods have so far killed 1265 humans and injured more than 1200.

The Chairman stated that heavy rainfall used to be expected, however the downpour used to be exponentially above the forecast, ensuing in excessive flooding throughout the country.

He stated fifty-seven thousand and 4 hundred meals packages have been distributed amongst the flood victims.

The Chairman NDMA stated there has been a accurate worldwide response to the UN flash enchantment for the help of flood affected people. He stated twenty-nine remedy items flights have been obtained over the closing 4 days.

These covered ten from Turkey, eleven from the UAE, 4 from China, two from Qatar and one every from Uzbekistan and France. He stated these flights carried items such as 2728 tents, ninety-eight lots meals packages, fifty boats and fifty-six lots medicines.
