The Islamabad High Court on Tuesday determined to fix the prohibited funding case earlier than a large bench. The listening to is set to take place on August 18.

In his remarks during today’s hearing, appearing IHC chief justice Aamer Farooq said: “Let us represent a large bench to hear this case.”

“The large bench will hear the case the day after tomorrow,” he said.

Barristers Anwar Mansoor and Faisal Chaudhary seemed on behalf of the PTI, which used to be located by means of the Election Commission of Pakistan to have obtained prohibited funding. A notice used to be issued to the party asking it to explain why the funds have to no longer be confiscated.
“We have challenged the Election Commission’s fact-finding report,” Mansoor said.

According to the lawyer, “it used to be now not necessary to disclose accounts for a range of reasons”.

“The money went from right here (Centre) to provincial accounts, which used to be not necessary to disclose,” the counsel said.

He appealed to the court to not take any action as far as the show cause observe issued to the party is concerned.

At this, Justice Farooq stated that this matter, too, will be taken up by the large bench.

The court then adjourned the hearing, before issuing directives for a large bench to hear the case on August 18.
